The
Breitling Superocean Heritage '57 Outerknown (A103703A1Q1W1) is a stylish men's watch that celebrates the relaxed surfer lifestyle of the 1960s while making a commitment to sustainability. It was created in collaboration with Kelly Slater's surfer brand, Outerknown.
Design & Materials
The watch features a case made of polished
stainless steel with a diameter of
42 mm and a height of 9.99 mm. The dial in a warm
bronze or brown tone (depending on the incidence of light) offers excellent readability with its luminous hands and indices. A special feature is the concave, bidirectional rotating bezel made of
black ceramic, which is reminiscent of the design of the original Superocean model from 1957. The dial is protected by a domed, anti-reflective
sapphire crystal on both sides.
A central element is the sustainable
brown NATO strap made from ECONYL® yarn, a yarn produced from recycled nylon waste, such as fishing nets.

In 1957, Breitling developed the Superocean, a diving watch for professional users that could withstand depths of up to 200 meters. A true marvel by the standards of the time. In honor of this model, Breitling has designed the special series Superocean Héritage. This model is strongly reminiscent of its origin. Thus, the dial is decorated with the logo of the 50s. Likewise, the hour hand with its characteristic shape is reminiscent of the 1957 model. Although the Superocean Héritage is very close to the original model, it has modern technology. The plastic bezel has been replaced by a steel-aluminum construction and features a 120-tooth mechanism that can be rotated in one direction. In addition, the mineral crystal has been replaced with a thick, scratch-resistant synthetic sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
