Since 1975: From Assembly Shop to Own Brand

Dr. Peter Brunner founded the Zurich company Desco von der Schulthess AG in 1961 and an assembly operation in Saignelégier, Switzerland. At that time, watches were also produced for other manufacturers.

But in 1975 the company achieved its breakthrough with the first own model under the name Maurice Lacroix in Austria. A year later, the Spanish market was conquered. After that, things went steeply uphill. In the 1980s, distribution channels were expanded, a case factory was added, and in the 1990s came what had to come – the international breakthrough.

As one of the first, Maurice Lacroix presented the glass case back and made the movement an experience.
