Jaeger-LeCoultre watches at Watchdeal.de

Jaeger-LeCoultre is a very traditional watch brand. JLC has been manufacturing watches in Switzerland since 1833 and has created more than 1200 calibres since then. Especially the Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos has an enormous recognition value and is a technical masterpiece of the 1920s.

Jaeger-LeCoultre models and prices

Antoine and Francois LeCoultre had a clear plan when they created the brand. They wanted to create beautiful, elegant watches that could be worn in everyday life without any problems. This is particularly evident in the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, which was designed to be worn by British officers in India playing polo and therefore had to be extremely robust. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is available from Watchdeal from 3,319 EURO.
The most famous Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is the Atmos. The special feature of this watch is that it winds itself only by temperature fluctuations within the room. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos is available from 5.349 EURO.
With the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master collection, we have deliberately avoided all accessories in order to concentrate on the essentials. The slim, elegant design is particularly eye-catching. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Master is available from 4,619 EURO.
In contrast to the Master, the Polaris offers a variety of useful functions such as date display, alarm function, chronograph and world time display. A faithful companion on journeys but of course also for everyday use. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris is available from Watchdeal from 5,289.
The most popular model ranges are
Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos, which are available in different designs. Among others also the Baccarat crystal glass designed by the famous artist Marc Newson for 21.599 EURO. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos is also available in gold, red gold, rhodium-plated or gold-plated brass.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master collection focuses on the elegance and purism of the watch. With the Master Grande Tradition, Master Ultra Thin and Master Control models, there is something for every watch enthusiast. A Master Ultra Thin, for example, is just over 7mm high and is available from 5,639 EURO.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vouz collection is designed for women who, contrary to popular belief, were the first to wear wristwatches. Jaeger-LeCoultre was the first watchmaker to create ladies' watches entirely set with diamonds. You can buy a Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendezvous-Vouz in our online shop from 7.149 EURO.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is probably the most recognizable wristwatch. The reversible case was created out of the need to protect the dial while playing polo. The Reverso is now available in many versions. It is a very special model for both men and women. The back of the case offers space for an individual engraving. If you choose a model with an exposed back, you can admire the exquisite art of watchmaking. A Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso with stainless steel bracelet is available from 4.069 EURO.

Jaeger-LeCoultre - exceptional technology that inspires

The technology used in Jaeger-LeCoultre watches is often a small miracle. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos mentioned above still impresses watch lovers all over the world with its incredible technology. A specially developed gas mixture expands or contracts depending on the temperature, winding the table clock.
But not only the Atmos inspire the watch community. Collections like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox, which has been used as a wristwatch alarm clock since 1950, or the specially developed Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic, which was developed on the occasion of the Geophysical Year 1958 and is less sensitive to magnetic fields, contribute to the constantly growing enthusiasm.

Jaeger-LeCoultre with powerful manufactory

As early as 1866, a watch manufactory was created through the purchase of machines, the introduction of quality standards and the amalgamation of all relevant crafts under one roof. Only wristwatch manufacturers who manufacture the movement as well as many additional important parts of a wristwatch may call themselves a manufactory.
Every Jaeger-LeCoultre watch goes through the same process. First of all, the watch is machined. All the components are then decorated by hand and the jewels are inserted. This is also called Empierrage. There are various reasons for using rubies as bearing jewels. For example, this reduces friction and increases the service life of the components. Some Jaeger-LeCoultre collections have a so-called snow fill. This special setting technique gives the goldsmith a great deal of leeway, as he only has to orient himself to the component to be set and the motif specified by the designer. The diamonds are placed in different sizes directly on the material and close together to achieve this very special effect.
Jaeger-LeCoultre special models
A very unusual special model is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysics True Second, released at the end of 2017, limited to 100 pieces. An homage to the previously mentioned 1958 model of the same name. But also in 2019 a very popular special model, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon in red gold for 70.500 EURO (not in our offer) will be released. True to the Ultra Thin collection, this model also stands out due to its low height. Also the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel for only 43.449 EURO is worth mentioning in this context. It has both a perpetual calendar and an indication of the moon phase of both hemispheres.

How much does a Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris cost?

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris is one of the latest models and offers a distinctive and useful function - the alarm. Originally, this Memovox function was designed to remind divers to go back to the surface. Also the sporty design and the reinforced and slightly curved glass, which serves for better legibility, go back to a traditional Jaeger-LeCoultre model, the Grande Maison. The complications such as date display, alarm, chronograph and Worldtime Chronograph are a useful companion for many long-distance wearers. The watch radiates a very special casualness and elegance. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic 41 is available from Watchdeal for 5,289 EURO.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic WT with second time zone, 24 h display and power reserve is already available for 10.979 EURO. A Jaeger-????LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph 42 as a chronograph with 30 minute counter and speedometer is available in our online shop for 19,199 EURO.

History of Jaeger-LeCoultre

The brothers Charles-Antoine and Francoise-Ulysse LeCoultre founded the company LeCoultre in the Vallée de Joux and a few years later invented the first instrument for measuring micrometer distances. For this they received a gold medal. In 1877 the company was handed over to Antoine's descendants and renamed LeCoultre & Cie. Even then, the watch manufactory employed 480 people. LeCoultre & Cie made such good movements that for over 30 years they produced most of the blanks of the famous Patek Phillipe brand. From 1907, Jacques-David LeCoultre supplied the blanks for the world's thinnest pocket watch. Designed by Edmond Jaeger. The collaboration with Edmond Jaeger led Jaeger-LeCoultre & Cie to merge with Edmond Jaeger and the company was renamed Jaeger-LeCoultre.
In 1928, Jean-Léon Reutter created the first Atmos (also known as Atmos 1) in Neuchâtel. Reutter sold the patent to Edmond Jaeger in 1930. In 1929, the famous Duoplan model with the smallest mechanical movement in the world (calibre 101) was created. This watch was worn by Queen Elisabeth II at her coronation in 1953.
The cooperation with Vacheron Constantin led to the merger of the two companies in the holding company SAPIC in 1938. Since 2000, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been part of the Swiss luxury group Richemont with A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC, Montblanc, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin.
