Louis Brandt produced his watches in the Comptoir d'établissage founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. But the quality of the individual parts was not what he aspired to, and Brandt no longer wanted to vouch for subpar quality with his name. He began producing his own parts and quickly achieved a good reputation throughout Europe.

After his death, his sons relocated the company to Biel, where they not only purchased a factory building but also renamed the company Omega in 1894. The reason for this was a 19-ligne caliber that was not only ahead of its time, it was also showered with praise and prizes. Thus encouraged, they developed a variety of different watches, naturally also with complications.

Even today, Omega creates innovative technologies like the Co-Axial escapement, which makes a watch run with less friction and therefore requires less maintenance.

Elegant and Sporty: For Ladies and Gentlemen

The famous co-axial escapement is installed in most models of Omega’s numerous ladies’ or men’s collections. The ladies’ collection at Omega does not lead a niche existence, but is a full-fledged member of the family.

Bracelets made of various types of gold, ceramic, titanium, leather, textile or rubber combine with cases made of steel, gold, ceramic or titanium to create watches for all occasions.

Omega Seamaster – Lord of the Seas

Since 1947, watch connoisseurs have been able to rely on the diver’s watch, which is particularly popular in the classic Seamaster 300 or Planet Ocean variants. The Professional designation within the entire Seamaster series indicates particularly high water resistance. Anyone who thinks the Seamaster is a diver’s watch that scores with understatement is mistaken: The Diver 300M is also world-famous as the James Bond watch.

Omega Speedmaster – A Seamaster on Land

What the Seamaster is in the water applies to Speedmaster watches on land. The sports and racing chronographs from Omega have presented themselves as lively, eloquent and extremely sporty since 1957.

Originally, the Moonwatch was only supposed to conquer space. First, however, the watch presented in 1957 enjoyed worldwide popularity before it was the timekeeper in 1969 that accompanied Neil Armstrong to the moon. The series reminisces this moment with numerous models.

Omega Constellation – Elegance and Extravagance

Omega De Ville – Dress Watch with Complications

Admittedly: The majority of watches within the De Ville collection are intended for men’s wrists. Nevertheless, watch lovers encounter a rarity in Omega’s dress watch series: With the De Ville Ladymatic, ladies have their own series. Modern calibers with anti-magnetic components and chic complications like tourbillon or annual calendar bring the collection up to the latest state of technology.
