As a tribute to OMEGA's legacy of space exploration, this Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon features a 44.25 mm case crafted from polished grey ceramic with a plasma coating. The brushed bezel is also made of grey ceramic and features a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova.
Beneath the sapphire crystal on the front, OMEGA's connection to the moon is celebrated through the specially decorated movement, which is laser-engraved on the mainplate and bridges to depict the lunar surface. The near side is visible on the skeletonized grey anodized aluminum dial, while the far side is revealed through the case back.
The model includes a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. The Moonwatch-style hands and beveled indices are all gray and filled with white Super-LumiNova (which glows green).
The specially decorated movement is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869. The engraving on the case back features the quote "The Moon is Essentially Grey," attributed to pilot Jim Lovell during the Apollo 8 mission.
The watch is worn on a gray rubber strap with a lunar surface pattern on the underside, a ceramic folding clasp, and ceramic-coated titanium spring bars.
