Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso - A luxury watch with reversible case

The Reverso is Jaeger-LeCoultre's flagship.  The watch has a rectangular case that can be completely turned over. In the early 1930s, the Manufacture in Le Sentier developed this watch for polo players who often complained of broken watch glasses after a game.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso was born out of necessity. As British officers pursued their passion for polo, a solution was needed to protect the watch's dial. To this end, the case of this unique model can be turned. So nothing could happen to the dial. The back of a Reverso can be very different. Either it has a visible back which allows a view into the inside of the case or it offers space for a very individual engraving. This classic model is suitable for both men and women. Some models have a beautiful diamond setting, which brings the femininity to the fore once again very well.

 In the beginning no own calibers were used, but movements without second hands from the manufacturer Tavannes. The design of the Reverso is a product of its time and corresponds to the style of Art Deco. The case back of the swivel case is often artfully engraved or enamelled. Models are also available that have additional displays on the back or allow a view of their mechanical interior through a viewing window.
