For five generations, the Saxon mill Glashütte has been a family business. The shutdown and dismantling of the production facilities in 1945 did not change this, nor did the expropriation and nationalization in 1972. Founded in 1869 as Robert Mühle & Sohn, the company began its eventful history with the manufacture of precision mechanical devices and measuring instruments. From there it went on to ship and wristwatches, which the company consecrated in a whole series to the German Navy and the heroes of everyday life. For example, the Nautik S.A.R. Flieger-Chronograph was dedicated to the rescue pilots of the German Navy and was developed entirely to their requirements. Time and again, the men and women of the Navy have dedicated their lives to saving others, and with the timepiece presented here, the Glashütte mill would like to honour and support these everyday heroes.

Naturally, the hands and indices are highly noctilucent, and the stop functions are also marked in orange for easy recognition.
