Performance and style for all your water sports activities. In the 1960s, diving was all the rage. For divers, timing was everything, and Breitling set out to create the most no-frills diver's watch possible, stripped of any function that wasn't tailored to the life-saving requirements underwater. This watch, reduced to the essentials, was given the name Superocean Slow Motion. What remained were clear lines, massive luminous indices, angular hands and a high-contrast dial ring to guarantee maximum legibility. It was practical in any case. But what really got people excited was its look. The new Superocean revisits the celebrated design elements of the Slow Motion and adds modern features such as a scratch-resistant ceramic inlay bezel and brightly colored dials. Wide hands and indices in luminescent Super-LumiNova® rainbow colors ensure good readability (and added fun) underwater. The watch is water-resistant to 300 meters (1000 feet), shockproof and resistant to sand and salt water. The bronze version uses a special alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance but develops a subtle patina over time, making the watch even more unique.
The rubber strap is fitted with a folding clasp that enables precise adjustments of up to 15 mm and ensures an optimum fit when worn over rashguards and diving suits. For safety, the bezel can only be rotated in one direction. And the best thing is: strictly speaking, it is no longer just a diver's watch. Surfing, swimming, drinks at the beach bar - anything is possible. The Superocean is the perfect balance between nostalgic legacy and a fresh, new look.
