This version features a polished 18-karat rose gold case with a diameter of 41 millimeters, an obsidian-colored dial, and gold-plated hands and appliques. The highlight of the watch is the meticulously crafted dial, produced in a complex manufacturing process involving 60 individual steps. Its unusual optical depth is achieved by applying 15 layers of transparent lacquer, which are finely sanded and then polished to a high gloss. The subdials are milled into both the brass blank and the lacquer layer. A special printing process enhances the three-dimensional effect. Finally, the appliques are individually applied by hand. The Portugieser Chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured caliber 69355, a mechanical chronograph movement developed with an uncompromising focus on robustness, reliability, and longevity. The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap by Santoni with an 18-karat rose gold pin buckle.
