Portugieser Chronograph - IW371605
The Portugieser Chronograph is one of IWC Schaffhausen's most iconic models. With its compact 41-millimeter diameter, it fits almost any wrist. The delicate bezel, however, creates the impression of a significantly larger watch. The clear, functional dial features applied Arabic numerals and slender feuille hands. The characteristic rehaut, printed with a quarter-second scale, not only allows for precise reading of elapsed time but also recalls the Portugieser's origins as a nautical precision instrument for the wrist. This model features a stainless steel case, a silver-plated dial, and blue hands and appliques. It is worn on a blue alligator leather strap. Inside this sporty yet elegant chronograph beats the IWC-manufactured caliber 69355 with a 46-hour power reserve. The robust and precise chronograph movement in classic column-wheel design can be viewed through a sapphire crystal display back.
