*With the Navitimer Chrono-Matic Ref. 8806, Breitling launches its cal.12 automatic movement in a traditional case with conical lugs and a diameter of case 40mm, with bezel 41mm; modified with an adjustment crown on the left side.
The Navitimer Ref. 8806 has "Big Eyes" hour and minute counters, but no sub-dial at position 6, where the date display is positioned instead.
The dials have red accents on the dial and slide rule. The Navitimers distributed by Breitling display "Twin Jet" logos or silver-white printed AOPA-signed wings. There are two versions of the hands: the slim Modern luminous hand of the classic Navitimer 806, later replaced by the wide luminous baton hands of the "Big Case" Navitimers. The dials are marked CHRONO-MATIC.
