The rainy season is guaranteed once a day: this is the price the British Isles have to pay for the unforgettable green of their rolling hills. It is therefore all the more surprising that, in addition to the Jaguar E-Type and the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, purist roadsters have found their way into the hearts of car lovers. Most of them only had a spartan emergency soft top with pluggable side windows - which, in a sudden rain shower, can clearly gnaw at the driver's fine English manner.
The wearer of a new Teutonia Sport II in British Racing Green certainly does not have to worry about a sudden inrush of water. After all, the Mühle watch not only has the sporty design and favourite colour in common with the British roadsters - it extends these characteristics with the nautical virtues of Mühle-Glashütte: reliability, precision, good readability. The high-quality case of the Teutonia Sport II, for example, is water-resistant to 10 bar and protects not only the precise motor of the automatic watch, but also its lovingly designed dashboard.
At a glance, the double anti-reflective sapphire crystal provides information about the exact time and date. This forms a harmonious counterbalance to the small second at 9 o'clock. It is also equipped with an extended, semi-circular date window. A light green marking shows the current date. The second hand and the filigree divisions of the minute hand on the buckskin are also light green. In front of it is a raised dark green outer ring with the applied hour indices. Like the hands, they are coated with Super-LumiNova for good readability at night and in poor visibility conditions.
The automatic movement SW 290-1 in the mill version ensures that the time is always measured precisely. This is equipped with the specially shock-protected, patented woodpecker neck fine adjustment, the matching balance cock and the efficient mill rotor. Further advantages are the elaborate regulation in 6 positions. This is based on the chronometer standard and has an internal specification that no wearer of a mill watch may be late because of his watch. For this reason, every movement in the Glashütte manufactory is adjusted so that its rate is between 0 and max. +8 seconds/day.
