In a sleepy little town in Switzerland, tucked away in the majestic Alps, lived a watchmaker named Henri Dubois. Henri was known for his incomparable craftsmanship and his passion for fine watches. His humble workshop was a place of magic, where time seemed to stand still as he worked on his artful creations.
One day in the spring of 2007, Henri received an unusual visitor. An elderly gentleman named Monsieur Laurent entered his atelier, accompanied by a mysterious aura and an old leather suitcase. Henri immediately noticed the man's quiet elegance and kindly invited him to take a seat.
Monsieur Laurent carefully opened the case and revealed a watch that took Henri's breath away: an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Ref: 15,300, in immaculate condition. The watch exuded a timeless beauty, with its iconic octagonal case, "tapestry" dial and gleaming stainless steel bracelet. It was a masterpiece of watchmaking that embodied both robustness and elegance.
"Monsieur Dubois," Laurent began quietly, "this watch is more than just a timepiece for me. It belonged to my father, a man who embodied the values of precision, honor and consistency. I want it to be cherished, and I have heard of your extraordinary ability to breathe new life into watches."
Henri was deeply touched by Laurent's story. He promised to take the utmost care of the watch and began work immediately. He spent day and night in his workshop, carefully examining and polishing every screw, every mechanism and every surface of the watch. He wanted to ensure that the Royal Oak shone in its full glory and lived up to its important history.
As Henri worked on the clock, he often thought of the story of Monsieur Laurent's father. He imagined how the clock had been a silent witness to many significant moments - meetings, decisions and experiences that shaped a life. Henri felt honored to be a part of this ongoing story.
After weeks of painstaking work, the clock was finally finished. It looked like new, ready to continue measuring time in its unique way. When Monsieur Laurent returned to collect the clock, he could hardly hide his joy and gratitude.
"You have done more than I could have hoped for, Mr. Dubois," Laurent said with tears in his eyes. "This watch will now be passed down in our family and will always remind us of the values my father taught us."
Henri smiled modestly and handed the watch back into Laurent's hands. "It has been an honor, Monsieur Laurent. May the Royal Oak continue to serve you faithfully and accompany your family through the ages."
Monsieur Laurent left the atelier, and Henri looked after him, filled with a deep sense of satisfaction. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Ref: 15.300, was not only a masterpiece of watchmaking, but also a symbol of the link between past, present and future. And so the history of this special watch continued, carried by the hands and hearts of those who appreciated and understood it.
In the small Swiss town, Henri Dubois remained known as the watchmaker who kept time - and with every watch he repaired, he created a bridge between generations that would never pass away.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15300ST White - 39mm Full Set 2007
The last true Royal Oak in the perfect size. 39mm—just as Gérald Genta envisioned it. Not too big, not too small. Collectors consider the 15300ST to be the last Royal Oak with “Jumbo” DNA before AP moved to 41mm.
This 2007 watch features a rare white Grande Tapisserie dial. In the light, it shifts from pure white to a silvery sheen—much more vibrant than the black dial. It also features an integrated stainless steel bracelet, a screw-down crown, and a see-through caseback revealing the gold rotor of Caliber 3120. You can see the movement in action.
The details:
