IWC Pilots watches at Watchdeal

The American Florentine Ariosto Jones founded IWC in Schaffhausen in 1868, short for International Watch Company. He used the highly qualified Swiss watchmakers, modern technology with the power of the Rhine to create high quality watches. Already for 150 years, the high quality, luxurious watches have been manufactured in elaborate handcraft.
The 6 different IWC collections Aquatimer, Da Vinci, Ingenieur, Pilot's Watches, Portofino and Portugieser look back on a long tradition and clearly show the wide range of IWCs. Here, everyone will find the right watch, whether it should be robust for everyday use, professional sports watches or Haute Horlogerie.

Pilot watches in detail

The pilot's watch collection is by far the largest in the entire IWC program. IWC regards the models in the Heritage and Classic series as direct successors to the old classics. You will find stainless steel watches from 40 mm to 46.5 mm diameter. The prices for models of these series range from € 3585 EUR for the IW327010 - IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII Edition Le Petit Prince and up to € 24.405 EUR for more elaborate models like the IW503001 - IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition Rodeo Drive.

At first glance, the Spitfire series looks deceptively similar to its sister models. But on closer inspection, it quickly becomes clear that it is a separate series. This becomes clear, for example, from the cases, which are available in both bronze and stainless steel. In addition, the current Spitfire models use exclusively manufactory calibers that equip the watches with chronograph function, second time zone, perpetual calendar or moon phase display.

With the Top Gun series, the IWC pilot's watches are particularly up-to-date. Although the dial design essentially corresponds to that of its sister models, the Swiss have consistently used ceramics for the usually black shimmering case.
IWC regularly issues limited editions of the pilot's watch in honor of the pilot and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

IWC - creativity and elegance as trademarks

For four generations, the engineers at IWCs in Schaffhausen have been creating watches for every taste. Whether a robust everyday watch, a professional diver's watch or pilot's watch up to haute horlogerie with all functions and complications. The Aquatimer, Da Vinci, Ingenieur, Portofino and Protugieser have a long tradition and yet are constantly being developed further.

What does an IWC Pilot's watch cost?

IWC with a powerful manufactory

IWC is especially known for exceptional precision and innovation. Albert Pellaton, who developed the Pellaton elevator, had a decisive influence on this.
In 2018, IWC opened its first Manufacture Center, where the complexity of the art of watchmaking can be closely examined.
