The IWC Portofino - 30 years of tradition and southern lifestyle

Over the last three decades, the Portofino watch family has established itself as one of the most successful series and is popular with men and women alike. This is due both to the constant demand for classic watches and to the purist design of the Portofino series. The no-frills dial with Roman numerals and the simple hour markers is complemented by slim feuille hands.
The origins of the large, minimalist case design for the Portofino can be traced back to the 1970s, when the Lepine pocket watch inspired the entire watch family. The pocket watch in the style of a writing watch was introduced in 84. Since then, this series has been a permanent fixture in the IWC collection.
