Oris Diving - Sporting on the move with Oris Diving
The Oris history, named after Orisbach, began in 1902 as a subsidiary of Lohner & Nägelin in Hölstein, Switzerland. The company produced watches and alarm clocks, of which the sporty design and high quality were particularly striking. The success story was unstoppable, not least when Oris was one of the 10 most successful Swiss watch manufacturers in the early 1960s. However, when the quartz watch crisis hit the company and many other traditional companies hard, it was almost the end of this brand. Shortly before the crisis, however, the company was rescued by Dr. Portmann and Ulrich W. Herzog, who virtually refounded it and refocused on male-sporty watches. Of course, this also applies to the watches in the Oris Diving collections, which are suitable for both snorkeling and deep-sea diving. What does an Oris from the divers collection cost
